June is a special time at Mariposa Meadow! We’re dedicating the whole month to celebrating and supporting our pollinators. Pollinator Partnership's Pollinator Week happens from June 17-23, but we're taking it further by making all of June Pollinator Month! Get ready for a month packed with fun activities, events, and special offers designed to ENCHANT, ENGAGE, and EMPOWER you to help the environment.
What is Pollinator Week?
Pollinator Week is an international event by Pollinator Partnership. It raises awareness about how important pollinators are to our ecosystems and food. From bees and butterflies to bats and birds, these creatures help reproduce over 75% of flowering plants and nearly 35% of global food crops. It's a great chance to learn about these amazing creatures and how we can support them.
How We’re Celebrating Pollinator Month
At Mariposa Meadow, we’re going all out by dedicating June to pollinators. Here’s a peek at what's coming up::
Big Native Plant Sale on June 8 -- 15% off all native plants and trees!
Kick off Pollinator Month with our Big Native Plant Sale on June 8! From 9 AM to 3 PM, you can explore a wide selection of native plants, wildflowers, and trees perfect for attracting and supporting pollinators. I’ll be there to help you choose the best plants for your garden and give tips on creating a pollinator-friendly habitat. This date coincides with Fowler's town-wide rummage sales, so plan to spend the day in Fowler! We’ll have rummage sale items too (woodworking equipment, homeschool curriculum, and more!).
Special Discounts During Pollinator Week
From June 17-23, enjoy surprise discounts on select pollinator-friendly plants and products. It’s the perfect time to stock up on garden essentials and learn about pollinators through our daily educational posts and activities. Watch for emails and Facebook posts to find the discount codes!
Daily Blog Posts and Activities
All month long, we’ll post daily on our blog and social media. Each day will feature fun facts about different pollinators, tips for creating a pollinator garden, and profiles of plants that support our buzzing, fluttering friends. Follow along for activities like guided nature walks, planting workshops, and interactive webinars. Look for special clues that add up to a big surprise at the end of the month!
